Ah, four left! Insane!!! This means there is only 4 weeks left to the year. CRAZY! Hahaha... this week's piece is another very personal piece. Recently, I reconnected with an old friend, an old friend who inspires me and excites me. Hanging out with Tiara is like a shot of YES and we've been relishing in our reunion. We went for a hike last weekend, and I took a picture of her enjoying the day. I knew when I took the picture that I was going to try and paint it. Heh. So I did. And I think it turned out all right. Sure, there are some differences, the color of her skin and hair isn't quite right, her face has been flattened a little bit, but I do think I captured an ounce of her essence, and I think that's pretty awesome. Maybe this will inspire me to try more portraits... though it does help to be inspired by someone so freaking awesome.
